Remembering the past : an oral and pictorial history of African Americans in Grant County, Indiana, 1996.

One bound volume containing transcriptions of eight oral history interviews and one narrative, created by the Grant County Black History Council. The interviews were conducted between 1980 and 1994. The volume also contains histories of African Americans in Indiana and Grant County, photocopies of newspaper articles and photographs, and histories of fraternal organizations. Interview topics include Weaver Settlement, family names and histories, employment, social events, schools, churches, social organizations, and the 1930 lynchings in Marion. Photocopies of photographs are of schoolchildren, a descendent of Weaver Settlement, and a club.
